When it comes to inventory management, inventory counts are essential processes for businesses that manage physical items.
Due to various factors, there may be discrepancies between the physical quantity and the system count. Therefore, it is crucial to conduct regular inventory counts to align the actual quantity with the system and make necessary updates.
The PC and mobile versions are fully compatible and can be used in conjunction with each other.
Multiple users can work simultaneously on an inventory count.
You can connect a barcode scanner for use.
You can conduct an inventory count for all items or selected (partial) items.
The team admin creates an inventory count project.
The team admin adds and assigns task sheets to each appointee.
Each appointee enters the inventory quantities on the task sheet(s).
Once all task sheets have been submitted, the team admin will review and close them.
Upon completing the inventory count, the inventory quantity entered on the task sheets will be overwritten as the final quantity. The updated quantity will be recorded as "Adjust" in your Transactions history.
Items that were selected for the inventory count but were not counted will be considered "out of stock" and their quantities will be adjusted to "0."
In Progress: The appointee is conducting an inventory count on their assigned task sheet(s).
Pending Review: The appointee has completed the inventory count and is waiting for the team admin's review and approval.
Submitted: All processes have been completed, including the team admin's approval.
Each appointee can input the quantities directly on BoxHero or scan barcodes to enter inventory quantities. Task sheets can only be modified by the team admin or designated appointee.
You can input inventory quantities in the same way using the mobile version. For barcode scanning, you can choose between using the phone camera or an external barcode scanner.
The team admin can create task sheets for different appointees within the inventory count project. If the same item is added to multiple sheets, the quantity will be summed when the admin finalizes the project.
