Subscription Overview

BoxHero is subscription-based software as a service (SaaS). The Business Plan is paid and can be billed monthly or annually. The Personal Plan is free.

Business Plan — Features & Billing

The Business Plan includes full access to all BoxHero features:

  • Monthly: $20/month per team

  • Annual: $18/month per team ($216 billed annually)

Usage Limits

  • You can increase usage limits for an extra fee.

  • Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from Settings > Billing.

  • Changes are pro-rated. Any additional charges or credits are applied to your next payment.

Managing Payments & Plans

To start a subscription or change/cancel your plan, go to: Settings > Billing.

  • Cancelling stops future renewals. It does not delete your data.

  • Upgrades and downgrades are pro-rated and reflected on your next payment.

Note: If you start a paid subscription while on the 30-day trial, your card will be charged on the day the trial ends.


Programs & Rewards

Referral Credit

When someone signs up with your referral link, both of you receive credit equal to 50% of their first payment.

  • You can find your referral link under Settings > Billing.

  • Credits cannot be redeemed for cash.

  • If the new subscription was created during a free trial, the credit is pro-rated and applied after the trial ends.

Affiliate Program

Join BoxHero's affiliate program to earn revenue! You earn 50% commission on a referred customer’s payments during their first year.

Nonprofit Pricing

If your organization is a registered nonprofit, you may qualify for a discount. Please provide legal documentation, such as a 501(c)(3) registration in the U.S., confirming your nonprofit status.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do you accept any other payment methods?

We accept major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. For annual subscriptions, you can also pay via PayPal or wire transfer by contacting us.

Payments are securely processed by Stripe. We don’t store your card details.

What’s the difference between “number of items” and “quantity”?

“Number of items” means how many different items or SKUs you can register in your team.

“Quantity” refers to how many units you have of a specific item.

Example:

  • 10 SKUs = 10 items

  • 10 SKUs with 100 units each = quantity = 100 for each SKU

You can add up to 1,000 different items with the standard Business Plan; the quantities of each item doesn't affect your plan.

What if I exceed my plan’s usage limit?

If you go over your plan's usage limit, you won’t be able to add new items or record inventory transactions. You’ll still have full access to your existing data.

To increase your limit, you can upgrade your plan at Settings > Billing.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

If you cancel, your subscription will not renew at the next billing date. You’ll still have access through the end of the current billing period. Your account will move to the free Personal Plan and premium features will be disabled. Your data will not be deleted.

What if my payment doesn’t go through?

If a payment fails, we’ll retry up to 5 times within 7 days of the original payment date. If all attempts fail, the paid subscription will be canceled and the your team will revert to the Personal Plan.

Can I change the payment method during a subscription?

Yes. You can update or change the payment method at any time in Settings > Billing.

What is your refund policy?

We do not offer refunds for canceled plans. If you cancel, you will retain access until the end of the current billing period and you will not be charged again.

Why wasn't my payment processed even though I subscribed?

Please check if you are currently in the free trial period. If you make a payment during the free trial, it will be automatically charged at the end of the trial period.

It's possible that the card details are incorrect, your bank declined the charge, or the card expired. If everything looks correct, contact your card issuer or email [email protected] for help.
