Members

The "Member Settings" screen lets you manage your team members. You can invite new members, assign roles and permissions, and remove members as needed.

Member Settings

BoxHero supports team collaboration so you can manage your inventory with your team in a shared workspace. Invite members, assign tasks, and grant custom permissions for specific roles and responsibilities.

You can monitor who made changes, when they were made, and which items were involved in inventory transactions.

Invite Members

To add team members to your BoxHero team, please go to Settings > Members and click the blue Invite Members button.

You can invite members to join BoxHero in two ways:

  1. Via Email: Send a direct invitation to their email address.

  2. Via Link: Generate an invitation link. The link remains valid for 24 hours.

Authorization Levels

Choose from one of the following authorization levels and assign roles:

  • Admin: Full access, including inviting members and managing payment settings.

  • Member: Can modify data but cannot perform tasks requiring admin privileges.

  • Viewer: Can view data but cannot make modifications.

Custom Permissions

Assign custom permissions to meet specific roles and responsibilities by going to Settings > Member > Custom Permissions.

You can restrict or allow specific actions, such as Stock In/Stock Out transactions or access to sensitive data like Sales data.


Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I restrict someone’s access to inventory data by location?

Currently, our permissions structure applies to the team level, which means that users can view all inventory data across the team's locations. To limit access, we recommend creating separate teams for different locations.

Can I restrict someone’s access to transaction history?

No, all members can view the team’s inventory transactions history. Custom permissions do not allow restrictions on access to past data.

Can multiple users be assigned admin privileges?

Yes, multiple users can be assigned as admins.

Do users with viewer access count toward the user limit?

Yes, users with viewer access are included in the user count. If you only need to share inventory details, you can use the feature instead.
